Presidential Search Committee Update 01/08/24

Students, Faculty, and Friends of Wilmington College:

We begin a new year with excitement about the future of Wilmington College and wish you each all the best in 2024!

On January 4 in a Special Meeting, the Board of Trustees considered when to begin the process of selecting a permanent president and decided to proceed at once.  It chose four trustees, Brent Bill, Lucy Steinitz, Ruth Olmsted, and Larry Sidwell as its representatives to the Presidential Selection Committee.

The composition of the Committee is governed by the Board’s Code of Regulations. It must include representatives from the board, faculty, Wilmington Yearly Meeting, student body, administration, and staff. The committee will be chosen within the next two weeks and the opening officially posted soon thereafter. The Board intends to complete the process by its March 1st meeting and make the selection then.

After the Committee is fully selected and convened, a search methodology, job requirements, and timeline will be available to all.

Yours for Wilmington College,
Daniel J. Buckley
Chair, Board of Trustees
