If a student believes discrimination is being practiced, the following procedure should be followed:

Contact the officer of the College who is responsible for receiving the complaint, investigating it, and, if need exists, directing it to the appropriate member of the campus community who has responsibility for the specific area in which the infraction is alleged to exist.

  • For academic complaints, the Chief Academic Officer/Dean of Faculty.
  • For student service-related concerns, the Chief Student Affairs Officer.
  • For Title IX concerns, the Student Resource Center Manager and Title IX Coordinator.
  • For complaints related to employment, the Director of Human Resources
  • Any appeal of action taken as a result of the original complaint should be directed, in writing, to the President of Wilmington College.

Any complaint for which there is no other officially designated route for recourse should be brought to the attention of the particular administrator under whose jurisdiction an infraction is thought to exist. Appeals from a decision of an administrator in any such case should be made to the President of Wilmington College.
