Health & Wellness Center

Medical & Mental Health Services

Medical and mental health services are provided to all Wilmington College students at the Health & Wellness Center, accessible near the courtyard across from the outdoor turf of the CSS.

For most care, your medical insurance is not required.

Medical Clinic

A registered nurse is available Monday through Friday to meet with students for a consultation.

Physician Clinic

The college physician, Dr. Anthony Wetherington, is available to treat any complaint you would typically see a family physician for, including allergy injections.

ALLERGY INJECTIONS
Any student needing allergy injections must have a consultation appointment to set up a reoccurring appointment and review orders. All allergy injections must be scheduled 30 minutes prior to the end of physician clinic.

REFERRALS, TESTS & LAB WORK
Your insurance card is required for referrals, tests and lab work.

Mental Health Counseling

Confidential counseling services are available to Wilmington College students. A state independently licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (PC) will provide a diagnostic assessment, treatment plan, and subsequent therapy sessions to assist students with a wide variety of wellness and mental health concerns.

Contact Kazi McDowell, Director of Counseling Services, at 937.481.2272 or Ana Lopez, Mental Health Counselor, at 937.481.2509 to schedule an appointment.

WHAT COUNSELING IS AVAILABLE?
No problem is too large or small. We help students with time management, stress, relationship issues, substance use/abuse/dependence, depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, ADHD, bipolar and more.

Although there is no specific limit to the number of sessions a student may receive through this free benefit, students whose needs require specialized or long-term care may be referred to seek services through their insurance providers.

CONFIDENTIALITY
Your counseling record is not part of your academic record and we strictly uphold the confidentiality of our services.
