The Wilmington College Leadership Giving program is a donor recognition program in which membership is based on the total of an individual’s personal gifts and corporate matching gifts during a single fiscal year. If it weren’t for the grants and scholarships that I received from the College, I wouldn’t be here and I don’t know what I would be doing. To be completely honest, I cannot see myself anywhere else but here, and it’s because of the great students, faculty, staff, and alumni that I am proud to shout in joy that “Wilmington College is my home!”
FIRST DECADE SOCIETY LEADERS
Gifts from Wilmington College alumni who graduated within the last 10 years—our young alumni—play a vital role in helping to shape the future direction of the College. We recognize that many of our young alumni wish to support their alma mater at a leadership level, but need a way to “step up” their giving shortly after graduation. By giving $100 for each year after graduation, you are able to enjoy the benefits of being a Leadership Donor immediately while you build your gift to the full $1,000 level at 10 years post graduation. (For example, an alumnus who is in their first year since graduation would need to make a $100 gift to be considered a Leadership Donor for that year while someone who was 5 years past graduation would need to make a $500 gift that year to be considered a Leadership Donor for that year.) Those generous young alumni who follow this gifting strategy gain membership as the prestigious First Decade Society Leaders.

What is the Purpose of the Leadership Giving Program?
The purpose of the Leadership Giving Program is twofold. First, it is to recognize those individuals who have made the conscious decision to make a leadership level gift to support the mission, vision, and future of Wilmington College. Second, it is to encourage supporters to make leadership level gifts and to increase their giving, as they are able.
