Equine Center at WC

The College manifested a natural progression of the its historic interest in agriculture by opening it Equine Center in fall 2000. Promoted as an opportunity to "bring your horse to college," the academic program debuted a minor in equine studies that evolved into a major in equine business management in the 2010s. The Center was built on 40 acres of land donated by Elizabeth Williams and features a 72-by 328-foot barn with 24 horse stalls, paddocks, tack rooms and other equine amenities. The equestrian team competes at an adjacent outdoor arena and a 72-by-152-foot indoor arena with observation deck.
