Chiropractic is a form of alternate medicine concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially of the spine. Education includes classes in basic sciences, such as anatomy and physiology, and supervised clinical experience in which students learn skills such as spinal assessment, adjustment techniques, and making diagnoses. Your academic adviser will assist you in selecting the undergraduate courses and field experiences you’ll need to apply for a program in chiropractic medicine.
