Three Middle and High School Students Earn Superiors, Advance to State Science Day
Wilmington College hosted the 2023 District 17 Science Day on March 25 with 19 students in the fifth through 11th grades presenting their projects for judging. Three students' projects earned superior ratings qualifying them for the State Science Day competition in April.
They include Dhanush Bearelly, an 11th-grade student at Seven Hills High School, S. Michael Consolidated Schools' Theo Lovett, an eighth-grader, and seventh-grader Alexandra Depenbrock.
District 17 includes Adams, Brown, Clinton, Fayette and Highland counties. Dr. Mary Koshar, assistant professor of mathematics, coordinated the event for the College.
