PICTURED: Team members Wyatt Perez, Madelyn Topp and Madeline Altherr compete via Zoom in the annual Ohio Dairy Challenge. The annual event features a competition among college and university teams that is designed to give students insight into the process of evaluating management practices on a dairy farm while interacting with representatives in the dairy industry. Dr. Daryl Nash, assistant professor of animal science and production management, serves as team adviser. "Our students worked hard at building a 20-minute presentation in a short timeframe," he said. "They did a great job giving their presentation and answering questions from the judges, especially considering this was the first Dairy Challenge for two of them." The Dairy Challenge's ultimate goal is to help develop tomorrow's dairy leaders and enhance the progress of the dairy industry.
