Lydi Shelton, Keely Smith and Vanessa Asher Win Cash Prizes for Their Writing
The Bowman Short Fiction Contest is named in honor of the popular Wilmington College English professor from the mid-20th century, George Bowman.

Three Wilmington College students earned cash prizes for short story writing when the English Dept. presented its annual literary awards earlier this month. Winners include Lydi Shelton, first place, for her story, "Danger & Dragon Farts," followed in second place by Keely Smith for "The Peculiarity of Perfection" and in third place by Vanessa Asher for her short story, "The Impression."
