Programming Offers the Campus a Chance to Gain Insight into Fascinating Cultures
Wilmington College is observing Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 through Oct. 15) with food, film, dance, music and personal insight into fascinating aspects of the cultures of Spanish-speaking peoples.
Each week has been featuring films, as part of the Lunchtime Movie Series, including Vivo, The Book of Life, Encanto, Coco and Ferdinand. The Latinx Students Association (LSA) and Activities Programming Board co-sponsored Kultural Karaoke and a Hispanic Heritage History Trivia Day in September.

The First Annual Salsa & Queso Competition will be held at noon on Oct. 7 in the TOP while Saturday, the 8th, will feature an LSA trip to the Columbus Latino Arts for the Humanities Day of the Dead celebration.
Alejandro Martinex will keynote the Hispanic Heritage Month Luncheon on Oct. 13 in the TOP followed by Spanish Professor Jeff Stahley leading a Salsa Dancing Night on the 14th.
These activities are open to the entire campus.
