Wilmington College recognized many of its “best and brightest” on Saturday (April 25) at the 46th annual Student Honors Convocation and Senior Recognition Awards ceremony. President Corey Cockerill said, “We are so very proud of the accomplishments of our students we recognize today,” while Campus Minister Nancy McCormick added, “We celebrate in a community we have come to love.”
The event featured the selection of top seniors in academic areas, Quaker Impact Awards, Green Key Honor Society induction and senior awards in Student Life. This news release features only the academic area awards. The other awards appear on separate news releases.
Faculty members presented the academic awards. They are mentors and guides, people the president said, “know their students not only by their names, they know them by their dreams.” As selected by the faculty, the top seniors in academic areas are: AGRICULTURE — Agricultural Business, Morgan Evans; Agricultural Communications, Wyatt Morrow; Agronomy, Matthew Maramasaka; Animal Science, Ruth Beery; Agricultural Education, Holden Nuhn; and Equine Business Management, Maegan Pearson. BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION — Accounting, Amanda Hitt; Business Management, Alaina Reynek; Cybersecurity, Zach Sizemore; Finance, Bell Baughman; Economics, Bradley Brown; Marketing, Sondre Haugen; Online Accounting, Olivia Brooke Jenkins; Online Business Management, Summer Auer; and Online Strategic Organizational Leadership, Faith Parsley.
