“I wanted to share how meaningful the opportunity was to serve in the Chicago community. It was especially impactful for me to return and share my past experiences of attending this trip as a student with this year’s participants,” she said.
“During the trip, we had the privilege of serving at the Greater Chicago Food Depository and the Cradles to Crayons Clothing Center. Both experiences allowed us to directly support efforts to reduce hunger and clothing insecurity for children and families in the Chicago area. Seeing the tangible impact of our work was incredibly rewarding and reinforced the importance of community service,” Anna added.
“This trip served as a powerful reminder that serving others in need can truly be life-changing, while also creating moments of connection, growth, and joy along the way. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of such meaningful work and to help guide students through a similar experience.”
