Graduation became much closer both literally and figuratively for many Wilmington College seniors March 22 when they picked up Commencement tickets and their caps and gowns at the annual Grad Fair.

Grad Fair gives graduating seniors an opportunity to take care of details related to their participation in the College’s 142nd Commencement May 12. Nearly 300 seniors either finished last fall or are within weeks of completing their undergraduate studies from WC’s main campus and branch campuses at Blue Ash and Cincinnati State.
In addition to the tickets and special attire, they had a chance to order class rings and graduation announcements, engage in loan exit counseling, have photographs taken in cap and gown, and gain insight into job search tools available through Career Services. Also, the Alumni Office promoted its 0-Year Reunion and Senior Gift Challenge while requesting up-to-date contact information.
Kennedy Harshaw, a senior majoring in athletic training, said the recent completion of her final Spring Break coupled with Grad Fair accentuated the fact that her Wilmington College days are numbered. “I’m starting to feel overwhelmed,” she said. “On top of all my classes, I have to take the Board of Certification exam for athletic training and apply for licensure and grad school.”
Nick Hutson, a senior majoring in communication arts and theatre, is feeling both excited for his upcoming graduation and a little anxious, since he’s in the search for a full-time job. “I’ve had an unbelievable experience here, especially with the theatre program,” he said. “I can’t thank Wilmington enough!”
