The realization for 312 Wilmington College students that their undergraduate careers are quickly coming to fruition became even more apparent today (March 24) when most of them attended the first-ever Graduation Fair.
In a single location, the soon-to-be graduates registered for graduation, picked up tickets to the ceremony, purchased caps and gowns, considered buying a class ring and graduation announcements, and received an invitation to join the Alumni Association.

Also, the official photographers provided seniors a chance to be photographed in cap and gown holding a diploma cover, and the campus minister promoted the Baccalaureate service video that features seniors.
WC’s commencement is May 9.
Mei Mei Burr, who chairs the Commencement Committee, was pleased that 170 students were able to attend the fair.
“It’s been very exciting to see so many students on hand to kick off graduation season,” she said. “The Graduation Fair offers the convenience of not having to go to multiple offices and locations to prepare for commencement, and it’s efficient for the offices to have so many seniors in one place at one time.”
The Graduation Fair is the brainchild of Tara Rhinehart, who recalled having one at her undergraduate alma mater.
“Being able to do everything at once was great — plus it got you excited about graduation coming up in a few weeks,” she added.
