Dr. Kim to Teach Master Class in the Style of Franz Liszt
Dr. Sun Min Kim is offering a free master class prior to his evening recital Nov. 12 at the Murphy Theatre in downtown Wilmington.

The master class will run from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. The Wilmington College Music Dept., in conjunction with the Murphy Theatre, is hosting the acclaimed pianist’s visit.
The class will feature performances by WC students Patrick Copeland and Elena Suggs, which will be coached by Kim. The public is invited to watch and learn from a teaching style employed by 19th century virtuoso Franz Liszt. The audience will have an opportunity to pose questions.
Kim’s evening recital will be the concert premiere the Murphy’s new grand piano. Tickets are $12 for the general public and free of charge for students with valid school/college identification. They can be purchased online at: https://themurphytheatre.org/tickets/.
Kim serves as coordinator of keyboard studies and is a visiting assistant professor of music at Denison University. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and other prestigious venues across the United States and abroad.
This concert is a fundraiser for a potential new chamber music series hosted by The Murphy Theatre and Wilmington College beginning in 2020-2021.
