Student-led Demos a Popular New Feature This Year
More than three-dozen businesses, organizations and service providers relating to health, wellness and public safety were on hand Thursday (March 30) to offer awareness, information and, in some cases, samples and demonstrations of their goods and services at Wilmington College's annual Community Health & Fitness Fair.
A successful campus blood drive offered by Community Blood Center was held concurrently.

Paula Stewart, event coordinator and director of wellness, declared the fair a success as members from both the campus and greater Wilmington communities took advantage of the educational opportunity.
"The Wilmington College Health and Fitness Fair showcases many outstanding organizations from the community and campus who offer information about services they provide," Stewart said, noting that in addition to the many tables staffed by community and campus providers, WC students played a key role in the event.
"This year’s fair included fitness demonstrations by our student instructors highlighting some of the classes we offer at the Quaker Recreation Center, such as Spinning, boxing, line dancing and cornhole," she added. "Men’s soccer team members demonstrated their skills on our new TeqBall table, which was fun for everyone to watch!
"We always appreciate the community’s support during this event."
