Dr. William Kincaid, professor of mathematics, is among the faculty members from 10 SOCHE member colleges and universities that will be honored for their outstanding contributions to teaching and learning.

Kincaid has been a member of the College faculty since 1969. He received a Bachelor of Science from Youngstown State University, a Master of Natural Science from the University of Oklahoma and, in 1976, a Doctor of Education from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Erika Goodwin, vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty, described Kincaid as “an outstanding faculty member,” who in his 48 years at WC also has served as track and field coach, co-director of the Math Center and head of the Math Dept. He has taken faculty sabbaticals to Iceland and Crete as a Fulbright Professor and another sabbatical at Dine College in New Mexico/Arizona in 2004.

SOCHE is a regional leader for higher education collaboration, working with colleges and universities to transform their communities and economies through the education, employment and engagement of nearly 200,000 students in southwest Ohio.
