SHREK, THE MUSICAL Sold Out

No Tickets Remain for Summer Theatre's Fantasy/Comedy Musical A green wave is sweeping through Wilmington as the College-Community Summer Theatre’s production of Shrek, the Musical sold out all four shows before opening night. Shrek, the Musical runs Thursday, Frday and Saturday (July 16, 17, 18), at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday (July 19), at 2:30 p.m., in WC’s Hugh G. Heiland Theatre. Part romance and part fractured fairy tale, this family fun promises to be enjoyed as much by adults as children. Wilmington native and Summer Theatre alumnus Dan Hunt is directing the production. The cast includes Shrek, played by Bryan Wallingford; Fiona, Gina Beck; Donkey, Bekah Muchmore; Lord Farquaard, Timothy Larrick; Pinocchio, Danny Harp; Gingy, Keni Brown; and Dragon, Cherie Cooper-Darragh/Tricia Heys/Rhonda Wheasler. Other area performers playing multiple roles as tap dancing rats, fairy tale misfits, villagers, singing guards and knights are Aaron Abirached, Connie Abirached, Tevin Amburgy, George Byrd, Victoria Camby, Andrew Conarroe, Asia Evans, Claudia Fowler, Cole Haugh, Nikita James, Victoria Martini, Alexia Minton, Erin Moore, Matt Purkey, Jennifer Ramage, Alison Ramage, Kevin Wall, Jordan Whealdon, Tim Wiederhold and Jessica Yankel. In addition to Hunt as director, the show features Wynn Alexander’s set design with lighting design by Becky Haines, as well as Cole Haugh’s choreography, musical direction by Matt Spradlin and Amanda Roberts as assistant musical director.
