SENIOR SALUTES Honor Wilmington College's Graduating Seniors Graduating senior Scott Soenksen is torn between continuing the educational momentum he's established at Wilmington College Cincinnati by going on to pursue a master's degree or "acclimating into life without academia." PICTURED: Scott Soenksen completed his studies at Wilmington College Cincinnati. Scott is a business and accounting major from Miamisburg who's originally from Pensacola, Fla. He's worked full time in banking while completing his bachelor's degree through WC's academic program on the campus of Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Scott talks about the personal growth he's experienced at WC and how impressed he' been with his fellow students. "They are there because they want to be and it shows via their professionalism and intellectual input," he said, noting some favorite memories of his time at WC also involve chatting with his professors before and after class. Attaining that degree is never easy for nontraditional students, especially when they also work and have family and community responsibilities. Scott believes his experience has been well worth it and sets the stage for continued success in his career. "Stress and frustration are the reactions of those who are growing," he said in offering words of encouragement to his fellow students still in school. "Embrace the growth and rely on the Lord to get you through." SENIOR SALUTES are the result of Wilmington College's graduating seniors completing an online survey requesting them to look back on their time at WC and share favorite memories, especially meaningful events/relationships and how their time at the College has impacted them.
