Program to Highlight Interfaith Response to War in Ukraine

WC's Cincinnati Branch Hosting Event in Support of Ukrainians Wilmington College Cincinnati, in conjunction with EquaSion of Greater Cincinnati, is hosting a dialogue on "War in Ukraine: Shaping an Interfaith Response to an Epochal Event" June 30, from 7 to 9 p.m., at WC's branch campus at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. PICTURED: A vigil in support of Ukraine and Wilmington's sister city, Merefa, was held Aptil 8 at the Campus Gateway. Pictured are Campus Minister Nancy McCormick (LEFT), Political Science Associate Professor Marlaina Leppert-Wahl and Miriam Speaight (SEATED). Dr. Richard Harknett, director of the University of Cincinnati School of Public & International Affairs, will be the key speaker at the event, which also will include refreshments, fellowship and opportunities to offer direct financial help, through Wilmington Friends Meeting, to besieged Ukrainians defending their homes. Dr. Marlaina Leppert-Wahl, associate professor of political science at WC, chairs the EquiSion Dialogue Committee. EquiSion is an interfaith organization in Cincinnati. The dialogue will be held in the Fifth/Third Lecture Room (#4) on the ground floor of the Health Professional Building at Cincinnati State, 3520 Central Parkway, Cincinnati 45223. Those attending can park free of charge in the Ludlow Garage, where they are requested to park at the top of the garage and exit out the back, where they will see the entrance to the Health Profession Building, Visitors parking on lower floors of the Ludlow Garage should take the elevator to the top for easy access to the venue.
