African Village Program to Culminate Black History Month

Annual Evening of Song, Dance and Insight to Highlight 'Coming to America' Theme Wilmington College’s annual African Village program will highlight the theme “Coming to America” Feb. 24 at 8 p.m. in the Top of Pyle. The event, which is sponsored by Black Student Initiative, is part of the College’s observance of African-American History Month in February. It will look back on this history of African-Americans from Africa to contemporary America in presentations that will encompass music, storytelling, singing and cultural dancing, as well as light refreshments. 2011 alumnus Scott T. Johnson will provide a keynote address. African Village is free of charge and open to the public.
