We look forward to welcoming Wilmington College alumni and friends back to campus for a weekend to remember! The schedule is full of Family-Friendly Activities (inflatables, corn hole, kids activity table, face painting, dunking booth), Tailgating, Live DJ, Food Trucks, and more!

Class of 1969 – 50th Anniversary

We are so excited to celebrate the 50 Year Reunion of the Wilmington College Class of 1969.

Events specifically for the Class of ’69 or featuring special perks for the class are denoted by a Class of 69 icon below.

Cluster Reunions for Classes 1974-83

Yours was a time of bell bottoms, 8-track tapes and the energy crises… From Grease, Saturday Night Fever and the rise of Disco, to seeing Kiss for the first time without makeup, and the introduction of the Moonwalk!

Homecoming/Alumni Reunion Weekend is the perfect opportunity for you to come back to WC and reminisce about those times, your college days, when you were young and life was about friends, fun and okay… maybe some classes.

Tentative Schedule for 2019

Thursday, Sept. 19

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Bookstore Open | Pyle Center

Alumni, stop by the WC Bookstore in Pyle Center to grab some Wilmington College gear before the afternoon festivities begin.

4:30 p.m. – Mud Volleyball Tournament | Lower FieldMud Volleyball

Join us at the lower field for the annual Mud Volleyball Tournament. Organize and register a team beforehand or show up and enjoy the spectacle and pizza and drinks. Team registration will be available soon. Current students, alumni and faculty/staff teams are welcome!

7 p.m. – Pep Rally & Bonfire | Collett Mall

After you clean up from mud volleyball, return to the center of campus for a Wilmington College pep rally and bonfire with music and refreshments. The winners of the annual SGA Banner Contest will be announced.

Friday, Sept. 20

9 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Bookstore Open | Pyle Center

The Wilmington College Bookstore will be open to provide any WC swag you may need.

10 a.m. – Alumni Check-in, Mix & Mingle | Boyd Cultural Arts Center (lobby)

Alumni, attend our check-in at Boyd Cultural Arts Center to enjoy light refreshments with old friends and classmates.

11 a.m. – Back to the Classroom Session 1  Class of 69 icon

WC Roundtable with President Jim Reynolds

Noon – Lunch on Your Own

Feel free to join current students on the TOP floor of Pyle Center for a delicious all-you-can-eat campus dining experience or travel off campus and see what Wilmington has to offer. Some old standards are still around, as well as new favorites.

1 p.m. – Back to the Classroom Session 2 Class of 69 icon

Dr. Tanya Maus presents “The Atomic Bombings in American History: Then and Today” at the Peace Resource Center.

2 p.m. – See What’s Changed: Campus Tour | Boyd Cultural Arts Center (lobby)

Meet back up in the lobby of the Boyd Cultural Arts Center and join a group tour of campus to revisit your old stomping grounds as well as our new, state-of-the-art Centers for Sports Science and Sciences & Agriculture.

4-6 p.m. – Alumni Awards & Class of 1969 50th Anniversary Dinner

7-9 p.m. – Welcome Reception for Classes of 1974-83 | Holiday Inn/Roberts Centre  star

7-10 p.m. – Milestone Reunion for the Classes of 1984, 1989, 1994 & 1999 | TinCap Cidery (Facebook Event)

Each year we honor those class years that are celebrating a milestone year (20th, 25th, 30th and 35th anniversary. This year’s event will be at TinCap Cidery.

7-10 p.m. – First Decade Society | Classes of 2009-2019 | TinCap Cidery (Facebook Event)

Join us at TinCap Cidery for a celebration in conjunction with this year’s Milestone Classes. Want to continue the fun after 10? The Escape is right across the street and is still the area’s late night gathering place!

Saturday, Sept. 21

8:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Alumni Tent Open for Alumni Check-in

Alumni, check in at the Alumni Tent. We’ll be available until 2 p.m. to answer any questions you may have.

9 a.m. – Joshua Keith Memorial Travel Scholarship Fund Raffle

9 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Bookstore Tent Open | Williams Stadium

The Wilmington College Bookstore will be open to provide any WC swag you may need.

9-10:30 a.m. – State of the College Breakfast with President Jim Reynolds | Pyle Center

$10 per person

Enjoy breakfast with President Jim Reynolds as we discuss the great things happening (and those to come) at Wilmington College. This event will be held in Dining Rooms C&D, on the TOP floor of Pyle Center.

9:30 a.m. – Alumni Swim Meet | WC Natatorium

Head over to WC Natatorium (Hermann Court) and watch as WC Swim Alumni participate in this annual event. Participant information and registration will be available soon.

10 a.m. – Harcum Art Gallery & Quaker Heritage Center Open

Harcum Art Gallery presents an exhibit of realist paintings by Jon Evans. The Quaker Heritage Center presents an exhibit on “Water Justice,” the water protectors and the Standing Rock Resistance to the Dakota access pipeline.

10-11 a.m. – Gardening with Monte

Join us for a discussion of horticulture.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – WC Tailgating | CSA Parking LotTailgaters

Bring refreshments and lawn chairs and hang out with current students and alumni before the game.

10 a.m. – 2 p.m. – Family-friendly Activities | Collett Mall

As part of Family Day, we will provide entertaining activities for any future WC Quakers you may have with you, including inflatables, face painting, a dunking booth and a kids’ activity table.

10:30 a.m. – Greek Bed Races | Elm Street

Watch our greek students compete during this annual Homecoming tradition.

10:30 a.m. – Athletic Hall of Fame Brunch | Boyd Cultural Arts Center (lobby)

11 a.m. – Noon – Arboretum Walking Tour with Brad Schwamberger ‘83

Enjoy the beautiful trees of the Wilmington College campus. This year’s theme is “Evergreens… A Journey with our Needled Friends.”

11 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Admission Tent for Future Quakers

Refuel after an exciting morning at your choice of several local food trucks, including:

2 p.m. – Kickoff, WC Football | WC vs. Ohio Northern Polar Bears Class of 69 icon

The Homecoming game starts at 2 p.m. Special seating will be available for the 50th Anniversary of the Class of 1969. At Halftime we will crown the 2019 Homecoming King and Queen.

This is an annual gathering of alumni who identified with and/or affiliated with the WC African American student organizations known as Concerned Black Students, Multicultural Student Union or Black Student Initiative. This gathering is coordinated by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and the Black Student Initiative as a means to reunite alumni and to acquaint them with our current student body.

6 p.m. – Reunion Dinner for Classes 1974-83  star
