Position: Assistant Professor of Art
Andrew Wood (b. 1988 Sunderland, U.K.) Wood’s art practice spans disparate media, shifting from physical to file, performance to film. He produces drawings, text, and moving image that draw from collaged observation and autobiography. Presently, he is fascinated by the many phantom plans and unbuilt proposals that haunt his hometown in the North of England, Peterlee. Wood’s work has screened at Onion City Experimental Film + Video Festival (Chicago, IL), Antimatter [Media Art] (Victoria, Canada), Light Matter Film Festival (Alfred, NY) and has recently exhibited at SPAM New Media Festival (Seattle, WA). Wood holds an MFA from Ohio State University.
