Spencer Izor

Position: Associate Vice President for Compliance

Spencer K. Izor joined Wilmington College as the Associate Vice President - Compliance & Title IX/Disability Coordinator at Wilmington College in April, 2025. In this new role at Wilmington College, Spencer will provide strategic leadership and oversight for the College’s compliance with federal and state regulations, including Title IX, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Section 504, and the Clery Act.

Upon graduation from law school in 2012, Spencer knew she belonged on a college campus and not a courtroom. Most recently and prior to joining Wilmington College, she was the Associate Director of Investigations and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at the University of Dayton, where she led investigations, managed grievance procedures, and presented educational programming to help prevent discrimination and support campus safety. She has also spent time at Miami University and Marietta College as an athletic administrator (NCAA compliance), professor, coach and development and hearing officer.

Spencer is a three time graduate and former student-athlete of the University Dayton, receiving a bachelor’s degree in Sport Management (2004), Master’s degree in Educational policy and Leadership (2008) and Juris doctorate (2012). Spencer began her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership, Culture and Curriculum at Miami University, where she has been focusing her research on trauma-informed curriculum and restorative justice practices in higher education.

Spencer is committed to ensuring accessibility, equity, and accountability through transparent practices and collaborative engagement with students, faculty, and staff.

When Spencer is not on campus she is spending time with her children and family at various sporting events or on their family farm.  She is also committed to serving the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Ohio on various councils and committees. Spencer lives in Germantown with her six adopted children: Yoshi, Jay,  Alex, John, Adrian, and Reese and two English Setters.
