Sarah Martin is the Survivor Advocate on campus and heads up the We Care program. This program serves to bring awareness and support to students concerning sexual assault. She manages thirteen students who are employed to run a 24/7 sexual assault hotline for campus, as well.
Sarah comes to Wilmington College from the Clinton County Prosecutor’s Office and the Alternatives to Violence Center. She graduated from Clinton-Massie high school, and has a degree from Berea College in Berea, Kentucky, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Arts in Child and Family Studies. During her time at Berea, she also served as chaplain for the non-traditional student body. She has a background and extensive training in diversity and advocacy. Sarah sits on the Wilmington College Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), and has also been a member of the Clinton County SART team for 3 years.
