Matthew Bosse

Assistant Men's and Women's Swimming Coach,

Matthew Bosse enters his second year as an assistant swimming coach at Wilmington College for the 2020-21 academic year.

Alongside Head Coach Trip Breen, Bosse aided the Fightin’ Quakers to 104 lifetime best performances at the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Championships in 2020. Additionally, Isak Alin set an OAC record in the 200-yard breaststroke.

A native of New Windsor, New York, Bosse comes to Wilmington after four-year collegiate career at NCAA Division I Iona College. A four-time Metro Atlantic Conference finalist in the 100 and 200 backstroke, he held several Gaels records upon graduation including the 100 and 200 backstroke, 400 medley relay and 200 freestyle relay. Bosse was also a team captain as a senior and earned conference All-Academic Team honors all four years.

Along with his college experience, Bosse also coached at the Army West Point swim camp, taught youth lessons at West Point and assisted with numerous competitive swimming technique clinics.

Bosse graduated from Iona in 2019 with a degree in finance. He resides in Wilmington.
