Jen is an Associate Professor of Athletic Training and the Athletic Training Clinical Education Coordinator. She has worked at Wilmington College since 2003 and has served in many different roles. In the past, she has worked as a faculty member, an athletic trainer covering numerous sports and has served as the Sport Management Program Director. Currently, she teaches a variety of athletic training classes (Intro to Athletic Training, Emergency Care, four Practicum classes) as well as serves in the administrative role as the AT Clinical Education Coordinator. Jen works to assure all AT students earn a quality clinical experience while they are in the program. She oversees the organization of all AT students and their rotations while working at a variety of medical healthcare facilities, both on and off campus. These rotations allow students to gain valuable hands on learning/experience to fulfill their educational needs.
Jen is a 1997 graduate of the WC AT program. She then attended The Ohio State University, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Sport Management. Following her graduate work, she worked in the Dayton area for six years where she provided high school athletic training coverage through a local sports medicine clinic.
Jen is a member of the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association, Great Lake Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association. Annually, she works with senior Athletic Training students on research projects. These projects are often presented and published at state and regional conferences.
Jen has been a part of several study abroad trips WC has offered (Italy, Switzerland, Germany, England and France to name a few). In 2013, she led a group of Athletic Training students to Ireland for a study abroad trip specifically focusing on the field of Athletic Training. Jen hopes to continue AT study abroad trips every other year with potential visits to Australia, Sweden, Italy, Spain and Switzerland.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and her many animals (cats, dogs, cows, mini- donkey). She also enjoys camping, traveling and visiting new restaurants.
Please feel free to contact her if you should have any questions about the WCAT program. She can be reached at (937)481-2393 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
