Elizabeth Haynes

Assistant Professor,
Mathematics

Liz earned a PhD in Mathematics at Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 2012. She majored in Topology and minored in Geometry. Her research interests include Smale Flows and Knot Theory. She has published (with Michael C. Sullivan) “Simple Smale Flows with a Four Band Template” in Topology and its Applications 177 (2014).

Liz and Bill Kincaid run the Math Center, which is currently located in CSA 202. The Math Center is a place where students can get tutoring for math classes, tutoring for math-related questions in other subjects, and preparation for mathematics exams for students entering the Teacher Education Program.
