Douglas Woodmansee

Professor,
Biology

I joined the Wilmington College faculty in 1991 and became Area Coordinator for Biology in 2014. I teach a variety of Biology courses and actively involve students in my research work with the protozoan parasite Toxoplasma gondii and the tapeworm Hymenolepis diminuta. I am a strong believer in the power of undergraduate research projects to make Biology real for students and in the value of these projects for preparing students for their future careers. I also serve as the Faculty Advisor to WC-AMSA, Wilmington’s Premed club.
