Charles Dick

I began teaching at Wilmington College, Cincinnati Branches as an adjunct instructor teaching Entrepreneurship and Accounting in 2005. When a full–time faculty position became available in 2008, I was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Accounting and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014.

Prior to teaching for Wilmington College I had been an adjunct instructor for the University of Cincinnati from 1974 through 2008 teaching a variety of courses in the Evening College, College of Continuing Education, the College of Education and Linder College of Business. I also served as a full-time Visiting Instructor of Accountancy at Miami University Oxford campus from 2001 through 2006.

I retired from public service in 1999 having served as a financial officer of a large urban Ohio school district for 23 years. Prior to that position I was a facility planner and construction supervisor, an instructional supervisor, and a high school Business instructor. After retirement I spent one and one-half years with a major Wilmington Ohio employer installing all new financial accounting software and another 36 months as the owner’s representative to a $13.6 million high school renovation and expansion project in Cincinnati.

Parallel to, and sometimes part of my other employment, I have been involved in the information technology field for my entire career. This involved programming various applications and installing, adapting, and being the systems administrator of large financial software systems. I hold active licenses as an Oracle Financial Applications Master and Certified Computing Professional (CCP).

Courses taught:

I teach all of the accounting courses in the Cincinnati program along with most of the economics courses, and corporate finance, money and banking and social media.  Beginning in the spring of 2022 I began teaching in the Master of Organizational Leadership program the Economics and Finance course.
