Chad McKay

Visiting Assistant Professor,
Agriculture

Chad McKay is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Agriculture at Wilmington College. He started teaching at WC in 2015. Prior to Wilmington College, Chad received his Master of Science degree in Agribusiness Economics from Southern Illinois University in 2014 and his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Wilmington College in 2013.

While completing his academic work, Chad was a graduate teaching assistant at Southern Illinois University focusing in agricultural economics and agricultural finance. His research focused on community development, specifically rural economic analysis. Chad was born in Clinton County, Ohio and brings a problem-based learning teaching style to his courses at Wilmington College.

Chad is an involved member of the local community, having served as a co-chair of the Hometown Holidazzle Parade for five years and as a Clinton County Antique Power Club member and trustee. He is starting to work on his doctoral degree and hopes to impact student’s career goals and visions like his professors before him. In his free time, Chad enjoys showing his antique tractor collection.
