Anne Daniels

Assistant Professor,

Anne came to Wilmington in 2016 to teach World History courses. She is a native Texan with a research focus on Latin America. She has traveled extensively throughout that region, in addition to studying abroad in Cuba as an undergraduate, and living in Brazil for a year as a Fulbright scholar. She has presented papers at international conferences on such topics as teacher education in nineteenth-century Latin America and Brazilian comic books during World War II. Anne is currently working on a book manuscript about youth culture in twentieth-century Brazil.

At Wilmington College, Anne will teach World Civilization, World History, and a variety of courses for both History majors and non-majors. Her teaching interests include the history of education, the history of political and social movements, and the history of youth.
