The dates are May 13 through 21, 2018. The itinerary includes five nights in the capital city, San Jose, and three nights in a coastal city on the Pacific Ocean. The $2,400 cost covers the round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations, three daily meals, local transportation and a full-time bilingual tour director. The team will play three international games and participate in a community service activity that’s open to all travelers. The tour features a walking city tour of San Jose, excursions to Volcano National Park and a coffee plantation tour, as well as opportunities to experience the country’s beaches and stunning scenery, and opportunities to interact with local residents. Optional excursions include zip lining through forests and wildlife, whitewater rafting and a catamaran ocean tour. Dr. Michael Snarr, professor of political science, is leading the trip and can be contacted for more information at (937) 481-2436 or via email at michael_snarr@wilmington.edu.
