Sara Pope: December Grad Has been Interning at Walt DisneyWorld

SENIOR SALUTES Honor Wilmington College's Graduating Seniors December graduate Sara Pope advises those students who follow her to embrace their Wilmington College experience. "Take chances! Apply for every internship and take advantage of every travel opportunity that comes your way," she said. "It might just lead you to Disney World!" PICTURED: Sara Pope is at work as a plant science intern at Walt DisneyWorld. The agriculture policy and education major from Lawrenceburg, Indiana, has been a plant science intern at the Florida theme park since finishing her studies last fall. She looks back fondly on her time at WC. Sara, a founding member of Sigma Alpha sorority, noted that being an integral part of chartering the new social organization is a favorite memory she never anticipated on having when she arrived on campus as new freshmen with her Class of 2020 counterparts. She also recalls the educational, cultural and social value realized while traveling across the country for a variety of professional development and hands-on learning opportunities through WC. "My WC experience has changed me the most by allowing me to meet new people and learn through extra-curricular activities," she added.  SENIOR SALUTES are the result of Wilmington College's graduating seniors completing an online survey requesting them to look back on their time at WC and share favorite memories, especially meaningful events/relationships and how their time at the College has impacted them.
