Harcum Gallery Exhibit to Feature Unique Exhibit of X-Ray Art

Reception Honoring Michael Hopkins Set for March 20 The new art exhibit in Wilmington College’s Harcum Gallery will feature Michael Hopkins’ paintings of X-rays in a show running from March 20 through April 26. PICTURED: "The X-Ray Series" by Michael Hopkins An opening reception is being held in honor of the artist March 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. The public is invited and refreshments will be served. Normal gallery hours are weekdays, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and by special appointment arranged through curator Hal Shunk, professor of art. Hopkins’ “The X-Ray Series” features a number of 5 ½ x 5 ¾ and 5 x 10-inch paintings, all of which are white ink on slate. His artist’s statement simply expressed, “It’ is easier to see without words.”
