International Performer Randall Hall to Present New Music
Wilmington College is hosting a free concert by saxophonist Randall B. Hall Saturday (Nov. 3), at 7 p.m., in the McCoy Room of Kelly Center.

Hall is an associate professor of music, with specialties in saxophone, improvisation, musicianship and electronic music, at Augustana College, Rock Island, Ill., He will present a concert program of his new music for saxophone, electronics and video.
It will feature a new piece he wrote this summer called “Wound,” which is a reflection on his family’s journey through cancer, and a composition he wrote last year called the “Chaldean Oracles,” which explores ancient Greek mysticism.
Hall, who joined the Augustana music faculty in 2005, holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music, a Doctor of Musical Arts; the New England Conservatory, Master of Music; the Conservatoire National de Région de Boulogne-Billancourt, France, Premier prix; and Warner Pacific College, a Bachelor of Science.
The recipient of a Fulbright Grant and numerous other honors, Hall is internationally active as a performer and clinician. He has performed throughout North America, Europe and Asia, and also has presented lectures and master classes at such institutions as Harvard and Cornell universities, the Eastman School of Music, New England Conservatory, Concervatorio Superior de Música de las Islas Baleares (Spain) and the World Saxophone Congress.
