Commencement

Attendance is expected at Baccalaureate and Commencement of candidates who complete degree requirements at the end of spring semester. December graduates and anticipated August degree candidates may also take part in the May commencement, but August degree candidates must be within 12 hours of the completion of degree requirements by the time of the May Commencement. May and August candidates must be in academic good standing for Spring Semester to participate in Commencement. Exceptions to the 12-hour requirement may only be made by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

THURSDAY, MAY 7TH

GRADUATION CELEBRATION HOSTED BY THE OFFICE OF ADVANCEMENT/ALUMNI AFFAIRS

8:00-9:30 PM: Join your classmates for free food and soft drinks at Generations Pizza. Live trivia, corn hole, DJ and lots of prizes. Please RSVP at (937) 481-2427.

FRIDAY, MAY 8TH

SPECIAL CAMPUS EVENTS FOR SENIORS – RSVP REQUIRED

10:30 AM BACCALAUREATE: HUGH HEILAND THEATRE

This ceremony is a time for reflection and a chance to look back over your college years. Attire is business casual.

12:00 PM SENIOR LUNCH: SPECIAL BANQUET AT THE TOP

This is a time to celebrate your college journey with your classmates and faculty. A special banquet will be prepared — don’t miss it!

2:00 PM COMMENCEMENT REHEARSAL: HERMANN COURT

Attendance is mandatory! A panoramic class photo will be taken immediately following the rehearsal.

SATURDAY, MAY 9TH: THE BIG DAY!!!

8:45 AM: LINE UP FOR COMMENCEMENT PROCESSION: BOYD CULTURAL ARTS CENTER

You must be on time! Come dressed and ready to graduate!

9:15 AM: DOORS TO HERMANN COURT AND BOYD CULTURAL ARTS CENTER OPEN FOR HANDICAPPED GUESTS

9:30 AM: DOORS TO HERMANN COURT OPEN FOR ALL GUESTS.

Everyone must be seated by 10:00 AM

10:15 AM: PROCESSION TO HERMANN COURT BEGINS

10:30 AM: COMMENCEMENT BEGINS

12:30 PM: CANDY BAR RECEPTION AT TOP

5:00 PM: All items must be cleared from student’s residence
