Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs (College Hall, Room 202) can help you with the administrative side of your academic career, including: academic policies and appeals, support services, advising, commencement, extensive absences, faculty issues, probation and suspension, student research, and withdrawal/leave of absence.

The Office of Academic Records (College Hall, Room 105) can help you with tasks such as: registration, FERPA,  athletic eligibility, transfer course evaluation, graduation review, commencement, VA benefits and transcripts.

Advising

Academic advisors, all regular faculty, assist students during their four years at the college, providing assistance with registration, career preparation, and major requirements.

Tammi Carpenter (assoc. director of enrollment success) works closely with the Admission Office, Student One Stop and Retention Committee in support of the strategic enrollment and retention initiatives which reinforce the College’s mission and core values. Tammi is a viable resource to students moving from application to graduation. Whether academic, financial, social, physical or emotional, Tammi is here to direct students as needed to help youthrive in your college experience and to reach your fullest potential.

Quaker Writing Center

The Quaker Writing Center’s (Robinson Communication Center, Room 103) mission is to support all students enrolled in all classes at Wilmington College at any point in the writing process as they complete any academic, creative, professional, or personal writing assignment. The Director and staff at the QWC are dedicated to helping students become better writers.

Whether it’s a simple question about course material or the need to develop better study skills and organization, the Student Resource Center (Robinson Communication Center, Room 103) can help you on your way to academic success! The SRC provides the following services: math and writing centers, supplemental instruction, individual peer tutoring, and preparation for standardized tests.
