Transition to MS in AT

In 2015, the Strategic Alliance for Athletic Training announced a decision to establish the professional degree for athletic training at the master’s level as an entry point for athletic training professionals.

The Master of Science in Athletic Training (MS in AT) degree program has completed the degree advancement process with the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Therefore, starting in fall 2019, Wilmington College will no longer be accepting applications to the athletic training bachelor’s degree program. The inaugural class of MS in AT students was admitted in the fall semester (August) of 2021. If you are visiting this page as a prospective undergraduate student we encourage you to consider the Exercise Science (Pre-Athletic Training) degree program which will fulfill the undergraduate prerequisites for Master of Science in Athletic Training programs.

Accreditation

The Wilmington College Athletic Training program is currently accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), 6850 Austin Center Blvd., Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731-3101.
