Your gift supports Wilmington College students by bridging the ever-increasing difference between the actual cost of education and the amount received by tuition and other fees. TOGETHER, we can ensure that today’s students will acquire the academic training for which WC has been recognized for decades – one that blends a solid background in liberal arts with comprehensive career preparation.
“From my first week on campus, I began using the skills learned in the classroom in the real world. These skills have been invaluable during my internships and while working on the campus farm! The experiences at Wilmington College have allowed me to grow both on a personal level and professionally. Without the scholarship support I receive none of this would be possible.”
“After high school I wanted to get out of Wilmington so I attended a college in San Diego. After tearing my labrum and undergoing extensive surgery, I found myself once again back home in Wilmington. This time it was different. I found out about the amazing Sport Management program at WC and I decided to stay. This has been one of the best decisions in my life and has allowed me to excel both inside the classroom and for gaining valuable skills that will enable me to reach my life goals.”
“When I first was accepted into Wilmington’s Athletic Training program it was like getting the best ice cream sundae; then I found out I would also be able to continue playing basketball and that was the cherry on top. My first two years here have been spent in the classroom, as well as, out in the field putting my new skills to use in a real world setting. The most exciting experience I have had to date has been working Friday night football as a student trainer for Hillsboro High School! The atmosphere is electric and being able to help the athletes maintain peak performance has been amazing! I know that all of this would not be possible without the various scholarship support that I receive. I am incredibly grateful for each person who has contributed to making my education possible.”
“One of the best learning experiences I have had actually occurred outside of the classroom. Thanks to the Isaac Harvey Fund, which provides students with financial support for travel opportunities designed to increase their exposure to peace and social justice issues, international cultures and so much more. I was able to spend time at The Human Experience in Orlando Florida. The Human Experience is a private middle school in downtown Orlando and I was able to work with these amazing students which changed my views on how to build a family inside of the classroom. This experience along with so many others has shaped the person I am today and the educator I will be tomorrow.”
“The Spring Lobby Trip to Washington, DC, has been the most exciting part of my Wilmington College experience. The trip itself was empowering and was the first opportunity to have hands-on experience with my majors in political science and criminal justice. Once I got home, I felt that I had made a difference! This trip would never have been possible without the help of the Isaac Harvey Fund. This fund provides students with financial support for travel opportunities designed to increase their exposure to peace and social justice issues, international cultures and so much more.”
