2017 Spring Term Students

Congratulations on your acceptance to Wilmington College!  If you are a new student enrolling for the Spring 2017 term in January, you are in the right place. Please use this page as a reference as we move through the year.  Before you know it, it will be time to start classes!

WHAT IS NEXT

CONFIRM YOUR ENROLLMENT: PAY YOUR DEPOSIT

To confirm your acceptance of admission and be eligible to register for classes, please submit your enrollment deposit online using our WILpay service. If you plan to live on campus, you may pay your housing deposit at the same time. Instructions on discovering your WILpay password and student id number can be found inside your acceptance packet.

FILE YOUR FAFSA

Financial aid is awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to all accepted students beginning in January. A “Financial Aid Award Notice” will be emailed to you on receipt of your FAFSA results.  When filing your FAFSA, please list Wilmington College and our school code number 003142, so that your results will be sent to us electronically.

REGISTER FOR CLASSES

Once you have paid your enrollment deposit, you may register for classes. Your admission counselor will be in touch with instructions on registration.

SUBMIT YOUR FERPA FORM

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is an important federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. FERPA gives parents certain rights with respect to their children’s education records. These rights transfer to the student when he or she reaches the age of 18 or attends a school beyond high school.  Wilmington College prefers that students identify the information from their records to be released and to whom the information can be given.

SUBMIT THE FERPA

COMPLETE YOUR HOUSING FORM

Resident students should complete the Spring Housing Application and Commuters should complete the Spring Housing Exemption.

COMPLETE YOUR HEALTH PROFILE

We have partnered with PRIVIT to keep your personal health information safe and secure.  All new students must complete a PRIVIT profile prior to Orientation.  Visit http://privit.com  and click on “Register” to create your new account.  You must also submit a completed immunization form and upload it to your PRIVIT account.

SEND US YOUR FINAL TRANSCRIPT(S)

Your offer of admission is contingent upon receipt of your official high school and/or college transcript(s). Transcripts must arrive in a sealed envelope. Faxed transcripts are not considered official. All transcripts must be received by the day you move into the residence halls or, for commuters, the first day of classes.

HAVE YOUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS PUBLISHED IN THE NEWSPAPER (OPTIONAL)

You may choose to have your acceptance to the College published in your local newspaper. Please complete our Office of Public Relations News Release Form and submit your information for publication.

LOOKING AHEAD: TUITION AND BILLING

New incoming students will receive an electronic statement available online through WILpay. The statement will be available to view and make online payments for Spring 2017 by December 1st. Students have the option to pay in full or set up a 5 month Installment Payment Plan (IPP) with the first payment being due December 20, 2016. Students will re-enroll in the IPP each semester. Students will need to add a Parent Pin to allow parents to sign in to make payments, view their student’s account, and receive email notifications. For more information view the Online Billing and Payment Options. For questions contact us at the Student One Stop in Pyle Center at sos@wilmington.edu or 937-382-6661 ext. 600.
