Wilmington College is excited to host two events on April 28, 2022 that will highlight student and faculty research. These hands-on learning opportunities are key components of Wilmington College’s mission statement which, among other things, seeks to “foster critical thinking, reflection, the free exchange of ideas, open inquiry…and a desire for lifelong learning.”
The Undergraduate Research Forum, which features poster presentations, will be held from 10 a.m. until noon in Hermann Court.
The Undergraduate Research Symposium, which consists of students presenting their papers in a traditional conference format, will be in the Center for the Sciences & Agriculture from 1:15 to 4:15 p.m.
The Student and Faculty Research Forum is a poster exhibition that showcases and celebrates the research accomplishments of our students and faculty across all disciplines. The posters represent a common method for sharing scholarly and creative work. The Research Forum provides participants a unique opportunity to share their research and exchange ideas with the Wilmington College community. All stages of research and creative scholarship are welcomed.
The Undergraduate Research Symposium offers an opportunity for students, who have engaged in original research, to share it in a formal, conference setting. Each panel of presenters will include a discussant who offers comments for each presenter’s research. The 2022 Symposium will also include insights from recent WC graduate, Ariana Riccardi who is currently attending graduate school in Europe.
