History

Wilmington’s AT program is one of the oldest and largest programs in the state of Ohio.  Our reputation for producing quality graduates reaches far and wide.  Established in 1978 by WC Athletics Hall of Fame member, Roger Tewksbury, and Medical Director, Dr. John Turba,  the athletic training program at WC has a long and impressive history of producing high quality ATCs.  When it comes to networking, WC students have a unique advantage over other students due to the large number of WC graduates in the profession as well as the notable positions our graduates hold. For instance, our grads work as head athletic trainers for college and professional sports teams, and other graduates have continued their education to become Medical Doctors, Physician’s Assistants, Physical Therapists, College Professors, and Teachers to list just a few.
