Wilmington College is accepting applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Agriculture in Agronomy at our main campus in Wilmington, Ohio, to join a talented and innovated department beginning August 2021.  This is a nine month, tenure track position to begin the Fall semester 2021.  The department values innovative teaching and faculty committed to engaging pedagogies, collaborative and interdisciplinary endeavors, global perspectives, and providing hands on experiences to our students on our academic farm.

The candidate will teach courses in computer applications in agriculture, grain crop production, introduction to soils and soil conservation, soils judging, soil fertility, and issues in soil and water conservation.  The candidate will also assist the department’s development of a food systems and sustainability centered curriculum by working on developing courses in animal science and food system management, and species classes.

Willingness to teach in multiple modes and delivery formats is preferred.  Previous higher ed teaching experience or other agriculture related industry experience preferred.  Ph.D. is required.  International agricultural experience a plus.  Agriculture education experience at secondary or college level a plus but not required.
