Wilmington College is accepting applications for an Assistant Professor of Biology at our main campus in Wilmington, Ohio. This is a nine month, tenure track position to begin the Fall semester 2021.

The Department of Biology at Wilmington College seeks a broadly trained biologist who complements existing faculty expertise. Teaching loads total 22-24 credit hours per year. The successful candidate will teach lecture and laboratory sections of the freshman biology sequence in cell biology, as well as of upper division courses in Molecular Biology, Animal Diversity, Microbiology and in the area of expertise. The candidate will serve as a research mentor for undergraduate capstone research projects and additionally contribute to the Natural Science General Education program by teaching Human Biology.

Wilmington College has recently completed construction of a new science facility which features modern teaching labs, a shared research lab, and an animal and plant research facility.

Successful candidates will possess a Ph.D.. Teaching experience and familiarity with the small college environment preferred.
