There will be no optional sports rider for Wilmington College of Ohio Athletes this year.  Instead a $1,000 sports benefit has been added to the student health plan. Wilmington College strongly encourages all athletes to purchase the student health plan.

Waiver Deadline: August 10, 2012

All students wanting to waive the insurance must do so by the deadline. Students who fail to complete the online process by the August 10, 2012 deadline will not have an opportunity to waive the coverage and receive a credit of the annual cost of $975 after this date. The Waiver website will be available July 1, 2012.

Qualifying Events

After the August 10, 2012 waiver deadline, only new students entering in the spring and those with specific “qualifying events” may enroll in the plan. This includes loss of coverage due to “age-off” provisions of your parent’s employer plan, death of a tuition payer, and loss of job by a tuition payer. In any case, written documentation will be necessary to substantiate a request.

In order to enroll as a result of one of these qualifying events, please contact Jill Young, RN, BSN, and Director of Health Services at 937-382-6661 ext. 217.
