Summer Orientation
Your Passport to Success

Dear New WC Student
Your great voyage is about to begin. There are many important things to address in order to begin a successful journey. Summer Orientation is the place to start. Summer Orientation, Your Passport to Success, is required for all new freshmen and is the first of a 2-step process at Wilmington College. During the Summer “O” program, you will schedule fall classes with an academic advisor, activate your computer accounts, have student IDs made, and learn about crucial student support services. The second step is our extensive 4-day Fall New Student Orientation that begins on Thursday, August 16 and ends on Sunday, August 20. Information and schedules regarding the fall program will be available during the summer program.
While family members are not required to attend the Summer “O”, past participants indicated the program eased anxiety, provided a “sneak peak” into the classroom, gave ample opportunities to discuss concerns and had their questions answered. While students are busy with small group activities, family members will learn about important issues and services related to academic success, financial aid, involvement and student activities, and athletics.
Please Note: Students who fail to attend a summer orientation program will have their class schedules created for them in-house, prior to the first day of classes.
Reservations are required
and will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Space is limited to 80 students each Summer “O” date.
The program will run from 9:00am – 5:00pm. Note: Please ensure that you are able to stay until 5:00 pm before choosing your dates. You must be able to stay the entire time.
Please select from the following dates:
