The Quaker Heritage Center

The Meriam R. Hare Quaker Heritage Center is a place where questioning, reflection, and discussion flourish. The exhibits and related programs challenge visitors to “be of good faith in the world.”
What is Happening at the Quaker Heritage Center?
This exciting new exhibit focuses on how children learn about other cultures through books, dolls, festivals, and music and includes the historic 1927 peace doll Ellen C. The exhibit will open at Wilmington College on March 3, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. The college campus is located at 1870 Quaker Way, Wilmington, Ohio 45177. The exhibit will run through Ocotber 1 with some Saturdays and special monthly events. For more details on the opening and monthly activities click here.

Friends Association for Higher Education (FAHE) provides a supportive relationship and opportunities for fellowship among all who share Quaker ideals of higher education, whether on Quaker or non-Quaker campuses. It does this by enhancing member's appreciation of Friends' religious heritage and nurturing the individual and corporate search for Truth.
The National Council on Public History advances the field of public history, promoting professionalism among history practitioners and encouraging their engagement with the public. We are a membership association of consultants, museum professionals, government historians, professors & students, archivists, teachers, cultural resource managers, curators, film & media producers, historical interpreters, policy advisors, and many others. Members confer at the annual meeting each spring and share their expertise in our journal and newsletter, and in several online formats.
AAM’s mission is to enhance the value of museums to their communities through leadership, advocacy, and service.The American Association of Museums has been bringing museums together since 1906, helping to develop standards and best practices, gathering and sharing knowledge, and providing advocacy on issues of concern to the entire museum community. We are dedicated to ensuring that museums remain a vital part of the American landscape, connecting people with the greatest achievements of the human experience, past, present and future.
The Association of Midwest Museums (AMM), founded in 1927, is a dynamic, non-profit membership organization that provides resources to museums and cultural institutions and services to museum professionals in an eight-state region in the Midwest, including Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
Since its founding in 1960, the Ohio Association of Historical Societies and Museums (OAHSM) has worked closely with the Ohio Historical Society (OHS). Both organizations share a common goal to encourage the preservation and the presentation of Ohio's heritage. Although separate organizations, they are joined by this common purpose and by the belief that through collaboration the two groups can be effective in meeting their goals.
