Fraternity’s Food Drive Nets 660 Pounds for Sugartree Ministries

Lambda Chi Alpha Holds Annual Fall Food Drive While many of their peers slept in or watched football Sunday (Oct. 15), members of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at Wilmington College collected some 660 pounds of canned goods and other nonperishable food items from local residents in its annual fall food drive. (PICTURED) From the left, Lambda Chi Alpha members Dylan Hammond, Eric Ortman, Andrew Hall and Jesse Buhrman load canned goods and other nonperishable items to distribute at a local food pantry. The fraternity donated more than a quarter ton of items to Sugartree Ministries’ Your Father’s Kitchen food pantry. The local chapter and all affiliates of the national fraternity are participating in this fall’s annual service project. Most years, Lambda Chi chapters collect 1.5 million pounds of items across the country. Feeding America is its corporate sponsor.
