Wilmington loses to Cedarville
Quakers end fall season

Killian Cummings and the Quakers were defeated by Cedarville.
CEDARVILLE — Wilmington College closed out its fall tennis season with a 9-0 loss at Cedarville University Tuesday night.
The Quakers are 0-3 while the Yellow Jackets move to 2-3.
“I saw glimpses of great things tonight, but we need to work on our consistency. We need to be able to always be the best we can be, instead of just playing three or four good points for the whole match,” Wilmington head coach Kara Grasty said.
The closest matches came on the doubles courts. Connor LaVelle (Athens) and Cullen Corcoran (Wilmington/Clinton-Massie) lost, 8-3, to Quinton Paul and Mike Clark at the No. 2 position.
Killian Cummings (Cincinnati/Colerain) and Jon Asher (Loveland/Goshen) dropped an 8-4 decision to Jared Gerber and David Barton at No. 2 doubles.
The Quakers now turn their attention to things other than tennis to be prepared to play tennis when the spring season arrives.
“They are going to be doing some weightlifting and conditioning. That will give them some guidelines and help them stay in shape and get in better shape,” Grasty said.
